Daraa-Sana
The branch of the Syrian Telecom Company in Daraa Governorate has completed the preparation of the communications infrastructure for the Nassib border crossing, and the communication and internet services have been put into service, after it was previously subjected to looting and sabotage at the hands of terrorists.
The director of the company’s branch, Eng. Ahmed Al-Hariri, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the excavation works, laying cables, pipes, manholes, distribution groups and subscribers’ boxes were carried out in record time in just two weeks, pointing out that the cost of these works amounted to about 77 million Syrian pounds.
And he indicated that the crossing was provided with an optical access unit with a number of 864 phone lines and 64 internet gates, which were put into service, in addition to microwave communication lines through the As-Suwayda Governorate.
It is noteworthy that Nassib Jaber border crossing was reopened at full capacity earlier this month.
