Abstract.
In September 2021, the hashtag #rendlargentlaurent is gaining momentum on Twitter.
Subscribers of influencer Laurent Correia, known to have participated in reality TV programs, complain of losing money after registering on IronFx, an online trading platform he uses. promotion on Snapchat and Instagram.
The promise: to earn huge sums by investing in the financial markets.
To get there, you don't need to be familiar with trading.
Just register on IronFx and follow the instructions in the Telegram chat that Laurent Correia hosts with his partner Amir Louezzane.
This practice has a name, "social trading", and it worries the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF), which considers it dangerous for novices.
In this episode of Source Code, Paméla Rougerie, journalist at Le Parisien, goes behind the scenes of her investigation into the online trading business.
