Retired Judge Asher Grunis will chair the committee selecting candidates for the position of ombudsman
Grunis, former president of the Supreme Court, has been appointed to chair the committee by incumbent President Esther Hayut and with the consent of Justice Minister Gideon Saar.
Grunis also chaired the committee of candidates for the Knesset's Legal Adviser in 2020, when Adv. Sagit Afik was elected to the position.
