During his recent appearance in the Chamber of Deputies, the Secretary of Health of Mexico, Jorge Alcocer, said that he would not vaccinate his grandchildren against covid-19 because it could hinder the immune learning of children.
The statement came at the same time that an advisory committee in the United States recommended that the emergency use of Pfizer's covid-19 vaccine be authorized for children between 5 and 11 years old.
CNN spoke with a pediatrician about the importance of vaccinating minors, in countries where it is allowed.
