Putting the Jewish Quatier at the center also fits in well with the current Unesco application phase.
Thuringia is currently applying for a place on the World Heritage List with evidence of the Jewish heritage of the state capital Erfurt.
"Of course we have to be visible for this," said Stürzebecher, who is also the Unesco World Heritage Officer.
The application is currently being assessed (evaluated), and a decision is expected in summer 2022.
