The Marines sharpen the tone: get vaccinated - or fly away | Israel today

In an almost unprecedented move, it was made clear to the soldiers that those who refuse to be vaccinated will be administratively separated from the combat force, and harsh measures will be taken against them.

The U.S. Marine Corps has launched a war against vaccine opponents, setting a clear and unequivocal target for immunization. If a landlord decides not to be vaccinated until November 28, those who have no medical or religious exemption, will be transferred to administrative care. Fighters who have previously expressed opposition to the vaccine will not be vaccinated or deployed in the field, and officers will be released from command. In other words, the Marine Corps says - get vaccinated or fly away.

On October 20, the Marines announced that 83 percent of their active force was vaccinated in two doses, and that figure rises to 92 percent when those vaccinated with one vaccine so far are taken into account. The U.S. Navy has announced that 93% of their sailors are fully vaccinated and no less than 98% of the sailors have received at least one dose of vaccine.

The Marines left no question as to what would happen to those who refused to be vaccinated. "Marines who refuse to be vaccinated will not be entitled to any compensation or bonuses. Corps commanders will retain the option to take any additional administrative or disciplinary action they deem appropriate," in addition to separation from the combat force.

In the IDF, compared to the Marines, such drastic measures are not yet taken, possibly due to the fact that it is the People's Army and that its fighters and soldiers are required to serve.

With regard to compulsory soldiers, it was clarified that if they refuse to perform tests, it will be possible to take them on vacation at the expense of the annual vacation days.
