The statement called for the utmost awareness and the necessity of solidarity and joint action to contain sedition and its tools and to prevent Lebanon from drifting into a devastating civil war.
Seven Lebanese were killed and about 60 others were injured in an ambush carried out by the Lebanese Forces militia militia earlier this month against unarmed demonstrators who set out from Tayouneh roundabout towards the Palace of Justice in Beirut to demand justice in the Beirut port explosion case.
