MDA still does not refer wounded or sick people to the hospital, but only those whose condition is critical. Miki Dodkevich: "The workers have adapted to the new situation in an inspiring way"

Two weeks after the cyber attack on Hillel Yaffe Hospital - and the hospital in Hadera has not yet recovered or returned to full function

.

The rest of the injured and sick are currently being evacuated to more remote hospitals, so that if, for example, a car accident occurred in and around Hadera, only the injured whose condition is critical will be evacuated.

Moderately injured and below - will be evacuated to Lenyado in Netanya or other hospitals in the center of the country.

Hillel Yaffe is working on reinstalling the computer systems that were discriminated against by the hackers.

This means that the payment of ransom money to the hacker group is out of the question, at least not at this stage.

A source at the hospital explained: "The decision whether to pay the ransom is not ours. We are a government hospital, and the decision is the state's."

Some systems have returned to partial operation, but the distance back to routine is still long.

This is how doctors and nurses who are still busy with manual registration and documentation on paper can be seen in the emergency room and in the hospital wards.

The computerized information on patients and patients is still largely inaccessible to medical staff.

This is important information, such as medical history, medication list, allergies and the like.

"Some of the systems are already working, upload them," the source explained.

"But it takes time. Computer teams are working on it around the clock, and the hospital is still getting urgent cases. We hope that will change in the coming days."

The outpatient clinics and operating rooms have not yet returned to normal, and operate only partially.

Some non-urgent surgeries are still postponed, and not all patients are admitted to outpatient clinics.

The hospital's director, Dr. Miki Dodkevitz, said: "We have come a long way in the last two weeks, one that has the potential to outline a future Torah from which others will learn.

It is a complex coping with a condition that requires adaptation of a non-medical nature in nature.

Along with the establishment of new information systems, we are working on all levels for the gradual recovery of clinical information. "

He added: "Returning to routine is currently at the forefront of our minds, and to that end we are working daily to deepen and expand clinical activity. The patients who are here and come here, receive the full treatment and service - and of course the medical care. It is clear to me that this is a process that takes time and is done according to an orderly plan, while we work to shorten it. In an inspiring way. "

The hospital said: "From the day of the cyber attack on the computer systems at the medical center, we have worked in collaboration with the hospitals division, the Ministry of Health and the national cyber system - to redeploy all information systems in an alternative infrastructure to the attacked one." Including medical history, while striving for the highest level of information security, updating the latest systems, and creating clinical priority - so that the rehabilitation process is carried out in the most intelligent and controlled way. And also includes colleagues from other hospitals. "
