Strangers have made a newly renovated house in Gaggenau uninhabitable.
Since the building had not yet been occupied, the perpetrators had been able to gain entry by force, as a police spokesman said on Wednesday.
Among other things, they would have cut heating pipes.
Thereupon heating water flooded the living rooms.
The forces of the fire brigade were put under great strain by pumping out the rooms in the Hörden district.
Gaggenau - "But also electrical cables and living elements were not spared from the destructive rage, so that the property damage caused could add up to a higher five-digit amount," said the police.
However, nothing was stolen on Tuesday, as the investigators announced.
