- At the end of the “Anthropocene Theme Days” of the Art and Nature Foundation, Gerhard Polt, the nestor of German cabaret, held up a mirror in his inimitable way in a dialogue with environmental psychologist Marcel Hunecke “us environmental sinners”. A "G'scheiter" and a "Grumbler"
Marcel Hunecke and Gerhard Polt devoted themselves to the phenomenon of "cognitive dissonance" from different perspectives: This means that people know more or less precisely what is harmful to the environment in their behavior, but despite all moral appeals they usually act on what is more pleasant for them and is beneficial. Every new standard from the car to the cell phone to long-distance travel will quickly become indispensable. Marcel Hunecke explained this with scientific explanations as "G'scheiter", and Gerhard Polt commented it as "Grumbler", which resulted in a dialogue that was as witty as it was amusing.
For some, "life is worthwhile with five mass of beer a day and he doesn't give a shit about his liver values," Polt stated.
Then there was a long dispute about the “what and how” of eating in the tension between “healthy” and “tasty”.
