Fürstenfeldbruck district - the establishment of the community energy cooperative Sonnenegler set a clear sign for the expansion of renewable energies in the Fürstenfeldbruck district and the surrounding area.

Despite the limited number of invitations due to the corona, those interested came to the Olchinger Kulturwerkstatt KOM on October 18.

After more than two hours of presentation of the project, the founding team and the statutes, 83 of those present have become founding members by signing the statutes. "Some people who had to leave earlier due to scheduling reasons, and others who are interested, have already received double-digit requests for membership," says energy consultant Max Keil.

The primary goal of the initiators is to promote the expansion of renewable energies in the district.

With this, the cooperative wants to take responsibility for the achievement of the 1.5 degree target on site.

“The expansion of renewable energies is the key to achieving the climate goals.

The demand for regenerative energy will continue to rise rapidly in the next few years, not only due to the shutdown of coal and gas power plants, but also due to the expansion of electromobility and the conversion of industry to green hydrogen, ”explained the initiators.

Voluntary commitment of the board of directors, the supervisory board and the active members

You still see a lot of potential for PV systems on the roofs and open spaces of the district. Your offer to municipalities, companies and farmers is not only to help with the financing, but also to take over a significant part of the planning work and ongoing operations. The board of directors, the supervisory board and those active in the local project groups work on a voluntary basis. The cooperative would like to cooperate with municipalities and municipal utilities and also be a partner in larger projects. In addition to large PV systems, this could also be heat islands or geothermal energy.

The solar sailors deliberately target the entire district, in which there is currently no citizen energy cooperative.

In addition to the towns of Germering, Olching and Puchheim, from which the founding team comes, a representative from Bruck and a representative from Emmering have been elected to the supervisory board.

The next local groups could be formed there.

Anyone who would like to become a member, get actively involved or implement a project together with the citizens 'energy cooperative is invited to register via the solar sailors' website.

“There are still many design options for the expansion of renewable energies in the district.

Now there is the possibility to become active with the support of a large team in which there are some professionals from the energy sector, ”the initiators advertised.
