In the corona pandemic, the seven-day incidence in North Rhine-Westphalia is again approaching a three-digit value.
According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Thursday morning, the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants jumped to 91.7 within a week.
In the national average, the incidence was already 130.2 and thus still significantly higher than in North Rhine-Westphalia.

In North Rhine-Westphalia, the Minden-Lübbecke district in East Westphalia remains the negative leader with a seven-day incidence of 191.4 after 159.9 on Wednesday.
In Leverkusen (147.0) and the Lippe district (141.7), the values rose towards the 150 mark.
The index was lowest in the districts of Coesfeld (53.0) and Viersen (52.6).
A value below the threshold of 50 was not reported anywhere in the 53 urban and rural districts in North Rhine-Westphalia.

On Saturday last week it was 58.5.
The nationwide incidence rose slightly from 64.3 to 64.4 compared to the previous day.
Corona incidence in North Rhine-Westphalia decreased slightly
Occupancy is increasing in the hospitals.
As of Wednesday, according to the state government, 1,149 people were being treated for a corona infection in hospitals, 26 more than the day before.
Among them were 318 patients in the intensive care unit, 192 of them required ventilation.
More recent data were not yet available on Thursday.
