Dead and infected records, closed borders and immunization demand: Corona wave hits Eastern Europe
The corona has continued to spread across the east of the continent in recent weeks, due to a low percentage of vaccinators, according to authorities.

The current corona wave has been hitting hard across Eastern Europe in recent weeks, with deadly and contagious records in Russia and Ukraine, border closure in Bulgaria and a demand for immunization from employees of public institutions in Hungary.
According to the authorities in the various countries, the sharp upward trend is continuing due to the low percentage of vaccinated against the virus.
Meanwhile, Russia's Ministry of Health announced today that a record number of 1,159 corona patients have died in the country in the past day, and that 40,096 people have been diagnosed as verified.
This, while the non-essential businesses in Moscow went out to close today for a period of 11 days, in the fight against the outbreak.
The number of patients with the virus who died from the outbreak is more than 235,000 - the fourth highest number in the world after the United States, Brazil and India.
Russia will go into full national closure in the first week of November.
President Vladimir Putin has ordered that vaccinators be given two days off for pay, in an attempt to encourage immunization among the general public.

Ukraine also recorded a record number of infections, with 26,071 people diagnosed positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The previous record was set on October 22 with 23,785 verified.
The number of those diagnosed so far in the country has risen to 2.85 million.
In addition, 576 patients with the virus died in the last day in the country, and the death toll rose to 66,204.
The country is considered one of the lowest vaccine percentages on the continent, with only 9.5 million Ukrainians out of a total population of 42 million people vaccinated so far, including 7.2 who received the two vaccine doses.

Due to the high spread of the virus in the country, the Ukrainian Embassy in Bulgaria has announced that the border between the countries will be closed on October 30th.
Only Ukrainians with Bulgarian residency and their families will be allowed to cross the border, provided that a negative test, proof of vaccination or certificate of recovery is presented.
At the same time, in Hungary the government has announced that it will require employees in public institutions to be vaccinated, following a sharp rise in infection rates.
