Disappointment and frustration after the cancellation of the Tegernbach outdoor pool season

A bitter blow for everyone who had hoped that the 2022 season in the Tegernbach outdoor pool could still be saved: As has now been announced, it will definitely fall flat.

A bitter blow for everyone who had hoped that the 2022 season in the Tegernbach outdoor pool could still be saved: As has now been announced, it will definitely fall flat.

Tegernbach

- The efforts for the Tegernbach bathing season 2022 have failed.

A plan B, according to which the urgently needed renovation could have been carried out before the opening date in the coming year, did not come about, according to Rudelzhausen's mayor Michael Krumbucher.

The planner in question did not submit an offer, said the town hall chief.

Proponents of alternative planning, such as municipal councilor Georg Brunner (FW), see it differently: In his opinion, the planner did not receive any reasonable documents and necessary data from the administration.

“I think it's a shame that we could have done more,” said Brunner.

He firmly believes that it could have been faster and, above all, cheaper.

In the meantime, the renovation costs threatened to explode.

Instead of the originally planned 1.7 million euros, there were suddenly 2.15 million euros in the room.

A second planning office was therefore consulted on the initiative of the local council.

Accordingly, the renovation could have been 600,000 cheaper - including a container solution and the omission of a technical building.

Efforts failed

From Krumbucher's point of view, however, the renovation of the outdoor swimming pool in 2022 can no longer be saved.

Also not because efforts to put the ailing bathroom back into operation for another year with makeshift repairs have also failed.

The health department clearly rejected this, Krumbucher explained when asked.

According to the town hall chief, it is also a fact that the renovation can no longer begin in time.

Because for this the award would have to take place in July.

That didn't work.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Instead, the master builder has now been divided into ten trades.

The start of construction will therefore be postponed to the coming year.

Criticism that he had not tried with all his might to save the bathing season, Krumbucher again dismissed far from himself.

“It's a shame for me.

The bathroom has to close for the first time in 46 years.

I hope that it will run for another 45 years. "

"Where there is no will, there is no way"

One of the sharpest critics of the closure of the bath is Rosi Hofbauer, who is the driving force behind a team of volunteers who ensure that everything runs smoothly there. She accuses Krumbucher of lack of commitment. “Where there is no will, there is no way,” judges Hofbauer, who sees the end of the bathing season as a very bitter pill for everyone who has tried to find an alternative. There was no shortage of help, and there certainly was no lack of active support, Hofbauer makes clear. There would even have been donations.

The SC Tegernbach had specially founded a swimming department.

A number of swimming courses have recently been held.

With the training of lifeguards, it was also ensured that there were no swimming accidents in the outdoor pool.

In this context, Rosi Hofbauer is also sour about the information policy in the town hall.

"For me it is incomprehensible that the volunteers and the board of the SC Tegernbach are not informed about it."
