And: a second group is being planned.

from the start, the establishment of a forest kindergarten in Burggen was a good omen, said Mayor Josef Schuster.
The facility "a novelty for a small community" was located in the forest behind the building yard last year.
There has also been a hut there since January, which is available to the 20 children, the “forest foxes”, as they call themselves, and three teachers.
Now the shelter has been officially inaugurated.
Numerous families and responsible persons met for the small blessing ceremony with Pastor Thaddäus Biernacki in compliance with the 3G regulation.
Schuster gave a look back at the origins of the kindergarten.
“A model construction site without friction points,” described the mayor.

The idea came up in 2019, and a decision and approval to build the forest kindergarten followed shortly afterwards.
That was done without an architect, but by employees of the building yard and mainly local companies.
"Proof of the strong cohesion of the village community," said Schuster.
The hut was built on communal land.
The Burggen forest cooperative made an adjacent piece of forest available.
Forest hut as a shelter for the kindergarten
It quickly became clear to the local council that the forest kindergarten was not only given a construction trailer, as is the case in many other places, but a comfortable hut. The main advantage was explained by the kindergarten director Heidi Fichtl, for whom a dream has come true with the forest kindergarten: the hut is considered a shelter that a forest kindergarten needs. For example when it storms outside. In such a case, other forest kindergartens would often switch to rooms in the community or the parish - but whether these are used for other purposes is often unclear. Then it could happen that the kindergarten has to be canceled.
In Burggen, parents don't have to worry about that.
Even if you spend most of your time outside, in the open air, says Fichtl.
"We all feel at home here." Because the kindergarten was well received from the start and the need for childcare continues to increase, Burggen is currently even considering setting up a second forest kindergarten group.
After the celebration, the children showed their parents the kindergarten, romped about in the forest and listened to a storyteller in the tipi that the local councils had set up.
