The new building on Lindenplatz is slowly, very slowly, nearing completion.

The first business people are already moving in and want to open - if it weren't for some problems.

Bad Wiessee - "Lake Life - Living where others go on vacation" - MW-Eigenheimbau GmbH from Ismaning near Munich uses this tempting slogan to advertise its project on Lindenplatz.

It will take some time for the owners of the 21 apartments and six commercial units to actually do so, even if the residential and commercial building appears to be ready for occupancy from a purely visual point of view.

“The construction is not yet finished,” states Werner Wendler, MW Eigenheimbau's managing director, objectively.

He did not want to answer further questions that there was nothing to say.

Residential and commercial building on Lindenplatz: The floor caused problems

There would actually be a lot to explain about the construction site, or rather: problem construction site. Even the planning was a "difficult birth", as our newspaper headlined in May 2017. Because only the seventh variant of the plan for the successor to the old Ursula House found approval in the local council. The original owners of Bavaria Wohnbaupartner from Ottobrunn had already announced the demolition and start of construction for the summer of 2017, but things turned out differently. They sold the property and handed it over to MW-Eigenheimbau in January 2018, which actually started in March and immediately spoke of “great interest” in the 21 apartments and originally three commercial units. Unstable lake clay, as can be found in many areas in the Wiesser Boden, made the work more difficult and forced the client to undertake costly rescheduling. In addition, there was a change in contracted companies.

Construction site at Wiesseer Lindenplatz: summit cross as a mockery

Because in April 2019 there was still a deep excavation pit and a huge pile of rubble instead of a shell on the approximately 2000 square meter property, Wiesseer unceremoniously set up a summit cross.

They found: "This construction site is the summit".

Even more: In February 2020, the trade inspectorate appeared.

There was talk of problems with occupational safety and the construction site sheet pile wall, a neighbor was already complaining about damage.

In July 2020, the construction work picked up again until the problem construction site started to make a name for itself again in mid-October: An excavator driver damaged an entire cable harness of the Telekom with a shovel and paralyzed the telephone and internet at Tegernsee for almost 24 hours.

The first business people are now moving in. The first is Nikolas Eisenmann (27) with his hairdresser “Am Platz”. That he found the commercial unit on Lindenplatz is a huge stroke of luck for him. Because the master hairdresser was part of the team from Coiffeur Etoile, which was previously located in the arcades of the Rottacher Hotel Bachmair am See and had to leave the field at the beginning of October due to the takeover by the Hirmer Group and the hotel renovation that has now begun. The 27-year-old was ultimately able to inspire a large part of the team to start over in his new salon. This should have opened on November 2nd, but construction problems are again causing delays. “So far, the house has no connections for electricity, water or gas. We are just digging up, ”reports Eisenmann and hopes that operations can start soon.“After all, we have already made appointments.” In order to present his already furnished, modern salon to customers and interested citizens, he invites you to an open day tomorrow, Friday from 1 pm.

"When the house is ready, it's ready."

Builder Werner Wendler

The client does not want to decide when the other shops will open, including the mobile phone island Bad Wiessee.

“All or none,” says Werner Wendler when asked.

"When the house is ready, it's ready."

"It was already slow, and that in the middle of the village."

Building authority manager Anton Bammer

Which the community of Bad Wiessee would also be very happy about.

“Of course, we would have liked a lot of things to have gone better there,” says building authority manager Anton Bammer and admits: “It was already slow, and that in the middle of town.” So a problematic construction site after all.
