District - The subject of the district culture days “Longing” is to spread to the young people in the district in the coming year: Ten of the 52 events are specially tailored to a younger audience.
Participants could apply for the Kreiskulturtage 2022 until the end of August.
Now they have a “diverse and high-quality program”, says the organizer of the cultural days, Annunciata Foresti, in the culture committee: everything from theater to customs is represented.
In order to include the youth in the district-wide event, the district youth council and the Landsberg youth center were asked to put together a program on their own that would not be judged further, said Foresti. The program has now been put together by the managing director of the Kreisjugendring, Stefan Ehle, and the head of the youth club, Matthias Faber, in consultation with her.
There will be a concert in Juze, a U-18 poetry slam in the city theater. In addition, a graffiti workshop is to take place. And under the direction of the “Zirkusvirus” association, a program will be developed, including a subsequent performance. In Kaufering, the Theater am Schnür'l will offer puppet theater. In addition, the district youth orchestra and the youth choir of the Landsberg Music School in Hurlach will organize a concert on the subject of “longing”. Kurt Gäblein's fairytale musical “Joy” is also performed in Hurlach. Foresti is convinced that the highlight will be the music workshop with a concert by the musician duo Fallwander with their psychedelic Ambient Chamber Pop in the Juze.

The program can also be found in the “Mothership” district culture program, says Foresti.
In the 'adult' program, for example, the Landsberg graffiti artist erwa.one will exhibit his work in Schondorf, in the Blue House in Dießen there will be curated exhibitions, the IWL will present 100 messages in bottles, but there will also be lectures, for example on the subject of “Life and Die".
Various installations by artists from the district such as Andreas Kloker or Matthias Rodach are planned.
Pestenacker will also start an exhibition on the subject of “longing”.
Several concerts are planned for this purpose.
At the “Seensuchtsfest” in Schondorf, there is an Italian and Indian flair in the cuisine, music and dance.
A Venetian gondola, a children's carousel and a cable car will arouse longing, says Foresti.
Foresti regrets that the family culture day planned for 2021 had to be canceled due to the corona.
But it was noticeable that he met with interest: "The 500 receipt booklets intended for families were sold out within three days."
Foresti was happy to see an increase since the first district culture days in 2017.
If you started with 38 events in 2017 for the “Home Interface” and in 2019 for the “Courage” theme, the 42 “adult” and ten youth events were a nice plus.
