Manarati Ibtikar for a youth group that chose the Syrian Book Fair in the Al-Assad National Library to launch this project and introduce Syrian children to it for the first time to learn through the lens of innovation and entertainment on the screens of their smartphones.

The application, which was designed and invented by three graduates of the Faculty of Informatics Engineering in Damascus, Mulham Al-Maleh, Louay Al-Asadi and Omar Al-Hosari, translated what they received from the sciences they decided to put in the service of the next generation of their country, based on their important and expected role in building Syria, to find the best opportunity to launch the application at the opening of the Syrian Book Fair Where they participated in the authors' wing of the Al-Assad Library.

This educational application is based on virtual reality and the integration of education with play in order to attract the child to the book, which is the first and last goal of the application makers.

Eng. Omar Al-Hosari said in an interview with SANA: “During our study, our goal was to benefit from the knowledge we gained to serve our country. We went to the world of childhood and the new generation, which is exposed to a torrent of dark and violent ideas directed by cartoon programs and electronic games, and they spend most of their time occupying their minds with it. We tried to restore Their interest in books and their love for reading through this application.”

Engineer Sami Al-Esh, who joined the Manarati team about two and a half years ago, stated that the project integrates education with interactive games, and at first it was an educational and interactive book at the same time, allowing children to engage with greater enthusiasm in learning new skills and information.

According to Al-Esh, the team was able to access an application version that allowed the project to launch a book entitled “Manar in the Jungle,” noting that work is currently underway to expand and develop the project’s horizons and release other parts of the book for the age group between the first and seventh grades.

The Manarati team participated in their project in the Takween Entrepreneurship Competition, to which more than 2,000 projects were submitted and won the third place.
