One of the 5 detainees in the murder and disappearance case in Jerusalem 35 years ago signed a state witness agreement

During the discussions about extending their detention, it emerged that at least two of the suspects cooperated in the investigations and donated details to the investigation team about the chain of events in the case of the murder of Avi Edri and the disappearance of the boy Nissim Sheetrit.

One of the five detainees in the murder and disappearance case 35 years ago in Jerusalem signed a state witness agreement tonight (Thursday). Earlier today, the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court extended the detention of the five suspects in the case by seven days.

During today's court hearings it emerged that at least two of the suspects cooperated in the investigations and donated details to the investigation team about the events. Last week, a number of clashes took place between the suspects, presenting their version to police investigators. Following the progress of the investigation, the police representative said that "I can say that there are already developments. The investigative actions have strengthened the suspicion."

Attorney Roi Atias, the suspects' lawyer, today attacked the police's investigation into Nissim Sheetrit's disappearance and asked the court to monitor how the investigation was conducted. Atias said that the suspect was "interrogated for many hours in order to break him.

Tried to produce some false confessions that he would say he was willing to admit to everything.

Yesterday they did him an exercise with his wife: he was explicitly told to testify and go home.

They took him to a cemetery in some forest, brought the family of the deceased and told him to swear in the name of the name that he was part of this murder.

Atias claimed to the investigation team: "You offered him to 'open up' to other suspects, you offered him to be a state witness."
