The death toll from the virus witnessed an unprecedented jump for the second day in a row, with 1,159 cases, compared to 1,123 deaths yesterday.
In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, eight million and 392,697 confirmed cases have been recorded in Russia, including 235,057 deaths and seven million and 272,053 cases of recovery.
To date, more than 206.3 million laboratory tests have been conducted in the country to diagnose coronavirus infections.
