Absolute shock at Hapoel Jerusalem after the 76:65 last night (Wednesday) for Stal Ostrov who left the team from the capital in last place in the second house of the Champions League with a balance of three losses in three games and not high chances of advancing to the play-offs.
The views of the club's management from owner Eyal Chomsky, through general manager Guy Harel to sports director Yotam Halperin said it all. The three looked very disappointed and frustrated with the way the team plays.
Forward Willy Workman actually claims that the responsibility for the situation lies with the players: "A difficult game for us. We lost balls in the first half, we could not score the whole game to 3 and we also scored a very low percentage from the penalty line. "The responsibility is on us. We hope we can connect the pieces and get ready for the next game."
Guard Amit Gershon added: "A heavy loss and we are aware of its consequences. We will not lower our heads, we will come two more weeks into the game against the Poles and believe we can do it."
Amiel concluded: "They broke us by a few minutes in the third and fourth quarters. Everything I say now will sound like an excuse. They were better than us in most of the game and they deserved the win. We will try to find a way to play better basketball."

In the reinforcement segment, the team continue to look for acquisition on the front line, apparently in place of Thun Maker who again disappointed and did not score a single point (took only one rebound) in almost 13 minutes on the floor.
One of the names that came up is Achilles Mitchell, ex Hapoel Gilboa / Galil and Maccabi Rishon Lezion, who according to rumors may leave Karsiaka following the expected arrival of Alex Tios, but currently the Turkish team does not agree to release him.
