Recently, three balloons rose from the sports field in Icking.
"So high that you could hardly see them from below," reported SPD council member Julian Chucholowski.
Specifically, it was 35 to 40 meters.

SPD chairman Wagner criticizes radio masts
The SPD does not understand that, of all places, "where we are blessed with the gift of a breathtaking landscape and an award-winning architect has harmoniously integrated a beautiful sports facility, such a disgraceful mast should be erected," emphasizes Ickings SPD chairman Beatrice Wagner. In her letter, she also refers to the land use plan for mobile communications that the municipality has drawn up. It says: "The Isar slope, including the view of the Alpine chain, has a high degree of scenic character with a clear recognition value and is therefore worth protecting."
Wagner continues to criticize: "Now, in addition to the stifling height of the mast, a 9.5 by 9.5 meter concrete foundation, a parking lot and the necessary operational building are to be created," for which the little wood next to the tennis facility should be cleared.
Radio mast planned in Schlederloh
And this is only one of three masts planned for Icking: In addition to the mast on the sports field, another 40 meter high mast 1,000 meters south of Schlederloh is being planned and a mobile mast will come to Wadlhausen from time to time. In addition, a mast is to be erected in the neighboring village of Mörlbachein. “In the future, Icking will be surrounded by monsters that are attributable to various cell phone operators,” says Wagner. "Vodafone has cast an eye on the sports field." Schlederloh had aroused the desires of Telekom, "inevitable because of the S-Bahn". The mobile mast also goes back to Telekom.
The SPD asks in its press release: "Is there really no other solution than Icking, to spoil the much-cited pearl of the Isar valley?" The local council has already spoken out in favor of the location in the middle of the sports field.
There is another approved location on community property, "which can be better integrated into the landscape," says Wagner.
She does not understand why Vodafone and Telekom do not use the new Schlederloh location together and why the mast on the sports field is completely eliminated.
Cellular operators should share masts
After all, the four major mobile network operators as well as the municipal umbrella organizations signed a joint paper last year "the best possible use of existing and future antenna locations".
