The clubs in Wolfratshausen have to wait: the city is currently not granting any subsidies because the financial situation is extremely tense.

The mayor fears the "total collapse".

Waldram - Members and city councilors of the Wolfratshausen Citizens' Association (BVW) recently discussed the tight budget situation in the city in the Gold restaurant.

Mayor Klaus Heilinglechner explained again why the decision on the approval of grant applications from numerous associations could not be made in the most recent committees.

Wolfratshauser Finances: "It looks bleak" - no grants approved yet

"It looks bleak," said the town hall chief - and backed up this statement with figures: The current rise in energy prices means that the city will have to shell out around 570,000 euros for gas supply in the coming year instead of the previous 169,000 euros.

In addition, the increase in the district levy will be noticeable.

Heilinglechner expects an additional burden of around 650,000 euros.

In addition, the renovation of the elementary and middle school, which cost around 50 million euros, should lead to further borrowing and the release of reserves.

Wolfratshausen is planning a budget retreat in December

Against this background, the mayor and city councilor Dr.

Ulrike Krischke for legitimate.

"We should take a look at which clubs have vital structures and how we can continue to support them," she said.

Some grants are not absolutely necessary and could therefore be postponed.

Heilinglechner sees it the same way.

If all the grants applied for were granted in a total amount of around 1.7 million euros, there is a risk of the “total collapse” of the budget and a complete cancellation of all financial contributions in the coming years.

Mayor warns about financial situation - and criticizes the government

The town hall chief quarreled with the fact that the government was transferring more and more tasks to the municipalities.

As an example, he cited the mandatory provision of all-day care in schools from 2026.

"The problem is to find qualified personnel who also need living space here," said Heilinglechner.

BVW city council spokesman Josef Praller considers the timing of the retreat to be suitable.

"That comes in time to be able to act," he explained.

Ulrike Krischke would also like to avoid a conflict with the legal supervision of the district office.

"We do not want to jeopardize important projects by being too generous now and then canceling everything," she emphasized.
