The feature film “The Morning Star” directed by Joud Said, produced by the General Film Establishment, opened the cinematic days’ screenings within the diverse cultural program accompanying the Syrian Book Fair hosted by the Al-Assad National Library in Damascus.
The film, for which the script was written by Jude Said, in partnership with Samah the fighting, approaches the issue of Syrian women kidnapped by terrorists in Lattakia Governorate in a special way, presenting a hypothetical vision based on reality and trying to find intellectual approaches and technical solutions to several problems created by the war on Syria without neglecting the state of hope.
The film's technical card includes actors Muhammad Al-Ahmad, Hussein Abbas, Youssef Al-Muqbil, Karam Al-Shaarani, Nadia Sedky and others, production director Samer Rahal, photography director Oqba Ezz El-Din, artistic cooperation Ahmed Ibrahim Ahmed and Wael Ezz El-Din, sound engineer Mahdi Rahim Zadeh, makeup designer Ahmed Haider, costume design by Raya Kotaish and first assistant director Ali Ibrahim.
The film won the Golden Tanit for the audience at the end of the 30th edition of the Carthage Film Festival.
It is noteworthy that the exhibition, which is being held by the Ministry of Culture and will continue until the sixth of next month, includes cultural and artistic activities that include seminars, concerts and cinematic shows.
