A woman from the French overseas territory of French Polynesia played the lottery for the first time in mid-October.
Now she is a multi-millionaire.

Millions of people fill out their tickets week after week in the hope of winning the big jackpot.
So did the grandfather of a young woman from the French overseas territory of French Polynesia.
But it was not him, but his granddaughter who really won the "Euromillions" lottery - with the very first lottery ticket of her life.

Two weeks ago (October 15), she went on the hunt for the record jackpot: believe it or not, 220 million euros!
With the first lottery ticket of her life, the young woman from French Polynesia became a multi-millionaire.
She always saw her grandfather play and was convinced that one day she would win herself, she told the gambling company “La Française des Jeux”.
"Euromillions"
The “Euromillions” or “Euromillions” are a Europe-wide lottery.
The jackpots are very high compared to other lotteries.
Between 17 and a maximum of 250 million euros are in the jackpot on two game days per week (Tuesday and Friday).
To win you need five correct numbers and two so-called "star numbers".

"I have often told my grandfather that the day I play I will be lucky," said the woman in a press release from the French national lottery company.
She waited for the right moment and then had an inspiration.
The money has now been handed over to the woman in Tahiti.
Until then, she had hidden her lottery ticket well - under the bed and between items of clothing.
“In the end, I was afraid I would forget where I put it,” the young woman admitted.
Your winning numbers were: 21, 26, 31, 34, 49 and as “star numbers” the 2 and 5.

With the sudden windfall, the woman from the South Pacific now wants to go far.
"I feel like traveling the world with my family and discovering the snow that I've never seen," she told the gambling company.
It should also be a second home on every continent, but she also wants to invest money and donate it to charity.
Otherwise, the money shouldn't change anything.
"I will remain humble - and continue to run barefoot," said the winner.
