Eichenau - "Greener, younger, bolder - for Eichenau": This is the motto under which Markus Hausberger, the leader of the Greens in the Eichenau municipal council, wants to run for mayor.
The local board unanimously supports his candidacy and will propose Markus Hausberger to the general meeting on November 25th for the official nomination, according to a message from the Eichenau Greens.
In the election, Markus Hausberger will have to compete with the incumbent town hall chief Peter Münster and with the CSU applicant Peter Zeiler.

The 44-year-old banker and business economist (VWA) has lived in Eichenau for over 20 years and is a married father with two children.
Since 2020 he has been a member of the Eichenau municipal council, where he is the parliamentary group leader of Bündnis 90 / Die GRÜNEN, as well as deputy chairman of the audit committee and advisor to young people.
