Seven men were arrested after a long-term investigation carried out by the La Courneuve police officers. The respondents are known

Seven men were brought on Friday before an investigating judge of the Bobigny judicial court.

A judicial investigation was opened for "organized gang robberies", specifies this afternoon the prosecutor of Bobigny.

They are suspected of having committed about fifty burglaries in Île-de-France since last summer.

Mainly in residential areas.

The investigators of the police station of La Courneuve put a stop to their criminal equipment thanks to ants work.

From an act committed in La Courneuve, in June, the police pulled on the wire, managed to trace the network and uncovered more than fifty break-ins.

A work of spinning, cross-checking and patience which has proved fruitful.

Last Monday, three men were intercepted on the Paris ring road, while returning from one of their illicit exits.

Their alleged accomplices were arrested at their home the next morning in Seine-Saint-Denis.

The respondents are between 34 and 43 years old.

They live in the 18th arrondissement of Paris and in Seine-Saint-Denis.

They all know each other and have, according to the first elements of the investigation, set up a small burglary business where everyone had a role to play.

Interchangeable but seasoned teams, which acted throughout the Île-de-France.

Without prior identification.

Up to six lodges broken into per afternoon

Their modus operandi was well established.

The driver, always the same, embarked on his journey two passengers, different according to the rounds.

He was parked in a residential area.

The two passengers located the place and set their sights on houses emptied of their occupants, generally gone to work.

When the house was targeted, the driver joined his two accomplices.

Armed with a screwdriver, one broke the lock, while the other two kept watch, and then everything was going very quickly.

The house was "visited" in a few minutes.

Anything that could be resold was stolen.

Mainly jewelry and luxury brand bags.

Once the theft was committed, the men returned to the car and looked for a new home to visit.

The team could chain up to six pavilions per afternoon.

Houses were left topsy-turvy and the stolen business then turned to the parallel market in Paris.

Searches carried out by officials from the La Courneuve police station uncovered some stolen objects.

The seven suspects were indicted for "organized gang robbery".

The prosecution requested pre-trial detention against four of them.

The decisions were to be pronounced this Friday evening.
