Damascus University and Moscow State University of Food Production signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance cooperation in the field of agricultural development, academic cooperation and enable strategic partnerships on the principle of equality and mutual benefit.
The memorandum, which was signed by the President of Damascus University, Dr. Muhammad Yasar Abdin, and the President of Moscow State University for Food Production, Professor Mikhail Grigorievich Balikhin at the headquarters of Moscow University, aims to strengthen ties between the two parties in the field of research and educational activities, including the exchange of students and professors.
The memorandum, of which SANA received a copy, stipulated cooperation in the development of joint educational programs, "first university level, master's and doctoral programs", including joint degrees, in addition to expanding scientific cooperation and research in areas of common interest.
According to the memorandum, the two sides agreed to organize training courses to raise the efficiency of students and faculty members in higher education programs, exchange experiences and modern educational means, as well as organize international scientific and practical meetings “seminars, seminars and conferences” including remote meetings, as well as organizing cultural events and implementing joint educational and research projects. .
The memorandum shall enter into force from the date of its signature and shall remain valid for ten years, which can be renewed by written agreement of the two parties.
