The administrative association (VG) Oberding with the municipalities of Oberding and Eitting transfers its registry office tasks and the registry office archive to the city of Erding.

According to the resolutions of the community assembly on Tuesday and the Erdinger city council on Wednesday, the adoption is in dry cloths.

Oberding / Eitting / Erding - Oberding's mayor and VG chairman Bernhard Mücke explained the reasons for the move in the VG assembly.

He referred to the lack of space in the Oberdingen town hall - as is well known, a new building is planned - and to the tense staff situation.

The city of Erding recently had a hard time finding another registrar itself.

The VG also wants to save software and hardware costs.

The costs for training in the legal text should not be underestimated either.

"In addition, the requirements at the Oberding registry office in particular have increased enormously in recent years due to the influx from abroad due to the proximity to the airport," said Mücke.

The Oberdingen registry office is small, so it is expedient to cede the tasks to the larger and specialized office in Erding.

According to Mücke, marriages only make up ten percent of registry office tasks.

In any case, births would primarily be recorded in Landshut or Erding, namely in the maternity wards.

It is similar with deaths.

In the Erdinger city council meeting, registry office manager Markus Grimm reported that the takeover was "currently still possible" in view of the expected number of cases.

The fee income of the registry office district of Oberding, currently 10,000 euros annually, would then be due to the city of Erding.

In addition, the VG, including archive maintenance, must pay a registry office fee of EUR 2.82 per inhabitant.

FW City Councilor Rainer Mehringer said: "I don't see any cost coverage." That could not be guaranteed either, said Mayor Max Gotz, who nevertheless promoted communal cooperation - "cost coverage or not".

So that everything is in the towel, the local supervisory authority has to give its approval.

The transfer could take place on April 1, 2022.

Little will change for bridal couples if they so wish.

Weddings can still take place in the Oberding community center if the mayor or a registrar from Erding conducts the wedding in the community.
