Al-Nawaeer defeated Al-Karamah with a score of 59-55 points in the match that brought them together at the Martyr Nasih Alwani Sports Hall in Hama in the opening matches of the third group of the U-19 Basketball League.
Although Al Karama won the first and third quarters in his favour, 15-6 and 15-14, the Nawaeer players finished the second quarter in their favour, 14-13. They also excelled remarkably in the last quarter, in which they advanced 25-12 and decided the match in their favour, by four points.
Within the same group, Mhardeh lost to its host Al Wathba in Homs.
In the second round of the league, Al-Nawair will meet with its neighbor, Al-Talia, on the fifth of next month, while Al-Karama will play with Mahrada on the latter's land.
