Firefighters in Homs governorate put out a fire that broke out in dry grasses and fruit trees near Rabah Gas Station in the western countryside of Homs.
Brigadier General Ghiath Akil, Director of Civil Defense in Homs, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the civil defense and agriculture firefighting cadres put out the fire and prevented the fire from reaching the gas station, pointing out that cooling operations are continuing so far.
Akil indicated that the area of the scorched lands is about 8 dunums of olive, apple, fig and vine trees.
