Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani clarified that the goal of conducting negotiations with the 4+1 group is to abolish the illegal and unjust US embargo against Iran.
During an interview with the Russian RT channel, Bagheri Kani said that during the Iranian delegation's visit to Brussels, we reached tangible results with the European side, considering that progress in the nuclear negotiations depends on the will of the other side to abolish the illegal embargo.
Bagheri Kani stressed that Iran's defense capabilities are an internal matter related to national security and no other country has any business with it, explaining that the accusations of the Zionist entity against Iran are false because this entity is the only owner of nuclear weapons in West Asia.
He also stressed constructive cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, pointing out that it should not allow some countries to exploit their technical capabilities to achieve their malicious goals, in addition to condemning terrorist operations against our nuclear facilities.
Bagheri Kani indicated that one of the Iranian government's priorities is to cooperate with neighboring countries to solve existing problems, adding that it was agreed with the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister that the two sides' consultations should be of a periodic nature.
Bagheri Kani visited Brussels last week to hold talks with the coordinator of the Joint Commission for the Nuclear Agreement Enrique Mora, after which he went to Moscow to meet his counterpart Sergei Ryabkov and the Russian Foreign Ministry's envoy to the Middle East and North Africa Mikhail Bogdanov.
