Marseille: a police officer hit after a refusal of control

The grievor sustained injuries to his hand and knee, but his prognosis is uncertain. A suspect has been taken into custody.


Three individuals traveling in a vehicle refused a police check on Friday October 29 at around 6.30 p.m. in Noailles (a district of the 1st arrondissement of Marseille), reports

The vehicle ran into an undercover police officer, who sustained injuries to his hand and knee.

He was taken to hospital but his prognosis is not in jeopardy.

The young policeman used his weapon to protect himself, injuring one of the fugitives in the process.

The car was then found around the Porte d'Aix, abandoned by the suspects who allegedly left on foot.

Blood and identity papers were found in the passenger compartment.

According to

Le Parisien

, the authorities received a little later that night a call from a hospital informing them of the arrival of a gunshot wound.

The latter admitted to being the owner of the document discovered in the car and was taken into custody in hospital.

The other two fugitives are still wanted and the departmental security is in charge of the investigation.
