Sanaa-Sana
At least 10 civilians were killed and 23 others were injured in an explosion today at the outer gate of Aden Airport in Yemen.
Al Masirah Net website quoted local sources as saying, "A huge fire broke out in front of the airport gate as a result of the explosion of a car bomb that was parked near the gate," explaining that the emergency department of Al-Jumhuriya Hospital in Aden received 23 wounded, most of whom were in serious condition, in addition to the arrival of two charred bodies.
The sources added that the cause of the explosion was a car bomb that targeted the airport gate, stressing that a number of other dead were taken to the Doctors Without Borders hospital.
Media and tweeters on social media circulated videos and photos showing a violent explosion in front of the outer gate of the Aden Airport Hotel, while scenes showed rising flames and rising smoke in front of the airport, and a large number of civilians gathered in the vicinity of the explosion.
The city of Aden and the southern governorates under occupation are witnessing an unprecedented insecurity under the control of the invasion and occupation forces over the country's capabilities through their tools represented by the so-called Southern Transitional Council and the Islah party militia.
