The mass events, during which tours and prayers are held in the Cave of the Patriarchs, passed without any unusual incidents.

Tens of thousands of people were hosted on Saturday in Hebron and Kiryat Arba, as part of the "Life of Sarah" Shabbat events.

The affair describes how our mother Sarah is buried in the Cave of the Patriarchs, and therefore for decades the Jewish community "Shabbat Hebron", which hosts many Israelis in the area, participates in prayers in the Cave of the Patriarchs and tours the place.

The mass events passed without any unusual incidents, and on Saturday night the masses returned to their homes.

This year the event was even more unique and special than usual, as last year the masses were not allowed to reach the area due to the corona restrictions.

It is clear that this year thousands made sure to come to fill in the gaps from previous years.

Dozens of tents stood side by side in the Cave of the Patriarchs, and apartments in the nearby town of Kiryat Arba were rented for thousands of shekels to families so that they could reach the Cave of the Patriarchs on foot on Saturday.

Apart from that, hundreds of people were hosted on Saturday evening, at the home of MK Itamar Ben Gvir.

Prior to the beginning of Shabbat, the commander of the 13th Battalion, Lt. Gen. Yuval Mazuz, who commands the sector, told "Israel Today" that they are prepared with increased forces for every event.

"Obviously the vigilance for Shabbat 'Sarah' life 'is rising. Unlike other exceptional events, where the other side does not understand at all what is happening, it is now very simple to understand that there is something different. We will block any attempt by a terrorist to reach the area."

On Friday morning, a slight commotion broke out, after it became clear that there were not enough fire-protected buses to operate a special line to Kiryat Arba, so it was canceled.

The Jewish community in Hebron and Kiryat Arba were furious at the decision, but things calmed down.

Among others, Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, rabbi of Safed;

Rabbi Shmuel Moreno, brother of the late Lt. Col. Emanuel Moreno;

Harel Hatzroni, the cheap founder of Hatzroni and more.

In addition, members of the Shenrav family - who lost their daughter Rene in a bomb attack in Benjamin about two years ago - gave lessons and talks.

At the end of Shabbat, a huge havdalah and dance were held in the central Chabad tent in Hebron.
