Khuzestan Province Police Commander Brigadier General Muhammad Salehi announced the elimination of three arms smuggling gangs in southwestern Iran.
Salehi said in a statement today, "The policemen succeeded in arresting two main elements of the aforementioned gangs, and they also succeeded in seizing 37 weapons and a large amount of ammunition."
Yesterday, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards managed to eliminate a terrorist cell that was planning to carry out acts of sabotage and destabilization of security in West Azerbaijan Province, northwest of the country.
