Ahead of his departure today for the UN Climate Change Conference in Scotland, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett was interviewed by the British Times, admitting: "We are in a cold war with Iran, we will do everything necessary to neutralize the Iranian threat."

In an interview, the Prime Minister detailed the State of Israel's national climate goals, mainly: zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and a gradual cessation of coal use that will begin in the next three years.
Prime Minister Bennett noted that in his vision, Israel can lead in the development of technologies for resolving the global climate crisis, and that he sees this as a way for Israel to advance its policies in the Middle East.
"For the world to reach zero emissions by 2050, our behavior change will do less than half the work. The other half will come from undeveloped technology, where Israel can lead."
As for Israel's deal with the corona virus, the prime minister emphasized the fact that he rejected recommendations for closure, even at the height of the fourth wave, and instead insisted on giving the third vaccine. The prime minister stated in an interview:
Bennett added, "Political polarization creates paralysis in the face of threats like Corona. We have seen it in the United States and other countries and here too, where people's perception of vaccines is influenced by their political leanings. Vaccines are not meant to be political. Science is not political."
The Prime Minister added that "the strong growth, beyond greater prosperity for Israelis, allows us to invest a lot in strengthening our military capabilities."

In this context, Prime Minister Bennett referred to the Iranian nuclear program and said: "It is no secret that Iran is currently in the most advanced state in terms of uranium enrichment capabilities. We are in a cold war with Iran. For the past 30 years, Iran has positioned itself around us to distract us."
The Prime Minister further clarified that combining significant military capability, diplomatic and economic pressure, from Israel as well as from the United States and other powers, "Iran will slow down and then stop."
"We will do whatever it takes to neutralize this threat. To act against them, we will use all our strength, innovation, technology and economy to get to the point where we are a few steps ahead of them," the prime minister said.
