American Airlines canceled nearly 850 domestic and international flights today due to staff shortages and weather conditions.
Reuters quoted a company spokeswoman as saying that the company canceled 848 flights, or more than 16 percent of its total flights, noting that this cancellation came after 548 flights canceled by Americans on Saturday and 343 flights on Friday.
Earlier this month, Southwest canceled nearly 2,400 flights over three days, blaming bad weather and air traffic issues in Florida.
