Cyber experts have sharply criticized the country for leaking information by a group of hackers identified with Iran.

"The state failed to protect the individual citizen - there's really saving lives", attacked ISOC CEO and founder of Data Protection Authority, Yoram Hacohen.

"National Cyber an advance warning about the weakness identified is not an authority in this case - yes Privacy Protection Authority "

Israel has succeeded in protecting critical infrastructure from cyber vulnerability but has failed to protect the private citizen," he continued. "This is no less than mental supervision, since some of the surfers are in the closet. A site that contains such sensitive information should have been well protected."

Last night, attackers from the company Black Shadow began leaking sensitive information from the dating site to the proud community "Atref", including first names, phone numbers and details about users' sexual preferences.

The hackers noted that this is only 1% of the information in their possession.

The hacker group broke into the Israeli web hosting company Cyberserve, and also leaked the details of the 9,000 users of the Dan bus company and the details of 120,000 customers of the Pegasus tourism company.

The hackers are demanding a million dollars within 48 hours - and threaten that if the money is not transferred to them, they will publish details of a million more "Atref" users.

"The consequences of the incident could lead to escalation," warned Tom Malka, SOC director at Security Joes. "These are people who may be exposed to extortion or forced removal from the closet, which can be very dangerous in our estimation. The incident is indeed dramatic relative to recent events," he stated.

Lior Chen, director of cyber security at information security company Varonis, recommends that users change their password immediately. "The attacker or anyone with the data in their possession can try to log in with the email address and password of each of the attackers to other sites such as Facebook, Google, and maybe even bank accounts."

Oded Vanunu, head of the Product Weakness Department at Check Point, said that "the new details revealed tonight are a step up in infringing on users' privacy. The information contains sensitive personal information of users, including nicknames alongside real names, emails, phones and more - and even the quality of contact "It is clear that the sensitive information was not sufficiently encrypted in the applications, and hence the attack can reach completely different scales."
