Drivers in Wolfratshausen have to expect restrictions and detours during the autumn break.
From Tuesday, part of an important road will be closed.
Wolfratshausen - Right on time for the start of the autumn vacation, drivers in Wolfratshausen must expect restrictions and detours.
From Tuesday, November 2nd, part of the busy Sauerlacher Straße will be closed.
Deutsche Bahn is renovating the level crossing for a few days.
Wolfratshausen: Main traffic artery will be closed for a week
The city of Wolfratshausen explains on its website how the traffic should flow during this time: If you are traveling from the old town area in the direction of Egling, you should drive over the Am Wasen intersection onto Königsdorfer Straße and then at the entrance to Farchet - the so-called Tapsi intersection - turn.
From there you can return to Sauerlacher Straße via Moosbauerweg or Schießstättstraße.
Bahn plans renovation: road closure in Wolfratshausen
Almost exactly three years ago - namely in October 2018 - the crossing was renovated at exactly this point.
For residents of Schießstättstrasse and many motorists, the traffic situation at the time caused delays and, accordingly, great annoyance.
"Unfortunately, such a blockage is always uncomfortable," says District Office press spokeswoman Marlis Peischer.
The current measure was therefore deliberately placed during the autumn holidays, because a little less car traffic can be expected during the school-free period.

The level crossing is closed from Tuesday, 8 a.m. to Friday, November 5, at around 10 p.m.
