Tina Turner, the band Poo Fighters and rapper J.Z. officially entered the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame at the annual ceremony this weekend.
Four years after becoming the first hip-hop artist to enter the American Songwriters Hall of Fame, the 51-year-old Jay-Z was chosen to join the most prestigious Hall of Fame in the music industry.
Entrance to the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame is an honorary degree awarded since 1985 to composers and musicians who have been active for more than 25 years and whose influence is evident.
In 2007, hip-hop band members from the eighties Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five became the first representatives from the hip-hop scene to enter the hall, and in the last decade, the Beastie Boys and the late rapper Tupac Shakur, among others, were added to the hall.
The video gesture to JZ at the beginning of the ceremony was opened by none other than former US President Barack Obama, who told the camera: "I have addressed JZ's words at various points in my life.

The tribute to Tina Turner was led by actress Angela Bast, who played her in the biographical drama "What Does It All Have to Do with Love?"

The 79-year-old King entered the hall for the second time, having first received the honor as early as 1991, when she was chosen as the creator rather than the performer.

Dave Grohl, lead singer of the band Fu Fighters, also entered the Hall of Fame, having done so back in 2014 as one of the members of the mythical band Nirvana.
The one who gave Po Fighters the entrance to the Hall of Fame at the ceremony was Paul McCartney, and together they performed one of the Beatles' hits "Get Back."
Other artists who stood out at the ceremony included the Go-Go's girl band that received an award from actress Drew Barrymore, and rapper Al Al Cole Jay who received an award for his contribution to music and gave an impressive performance alongside Eminem and Jennifer Lopez.
