The interventions of Qasioun Sports Club members, during their annual conference, which was held today, focused on what has been achieved during the year 2021, the plans for the next year, and the difficulties encountered in the process of development and upgrading the club’s games.
The interventions at the conference, which was held at the club’s headquarters in Barzeh residences, focused on the reality of sports and the need to secure a closed hall in the club for basketball and handball, and to secure equipment for strength games, in addition to the need to make optimal use of investments and the introduction of additional revenues that help advance the club’s games in a way that contributes to the development of sports. The head of the General Sports Federation, Firas Mualla, explained that Qasioun Club is a basic pillar of Damascus sport, especially in the women’s and strength games, promising the conferences to solve all the difficulties that were raised immediately, indicating at the same time that most of the attention is focused on making the sports champion and providing all its requirements because he is an ambassador for Syria in International forums in addition to the maintenance of sports facilities such as halls and stadiums in all governorates.
In his turn, the club's president, Brigadier Fayez Al-Basha, confirmed that Qasioun Club is at the same distance from all the games, pointing out that all the equipment has been secured for most of the games so that the club's teams keep pace with their counterparts in other clubs and to achieve distinguished results and bright medals added to the club's coffers.
Al-Basha added that the club focused in its work methodology on paying attention to the age rules through the training centers it established, and was able to build the rules teams for the female basket within sound and scientific plans and foundations under the supervision of the best coaches. The club is a tributary of the national teams in most games, especially in strength games such as karate, wrestling and boxing, in addition to triathlon.
The conference included the presentation of a film that included the sports activities and achievements of the club’s players in all games during the past season 2020-2021, noting that Qasioun Club was established in 1991 and owns a distinguished sports facility that includes halls, hexagonal playgrounds, a swimming pool and a wedding hall.
