The prosecution has filed an indictment against Suleiman Kasab, an illegal resident of Khan Yunis, who was arrested last month by the Shin Bet and the police after setting fire to Sukkot and a bus in Ramla.

Ignition attacks that took place a few weeks ago in Ramla were solved:

This morning (Monday) it was announced that the GSS and the police arrested last month a resident of the Gaza Strip, Suleiman Kasab, 29, from Khan Yunis, for setting fire to Sukkot and a bus in Ramla on September 30 and October 4, 2021 An indictment was filed against him today by the Central District Attorney's Office.

According to the GSS statement, "Kasab entered Israel in January 2020 with humanitarian approval as an escort for his mother, who is being treated in Judea and Samaria for a serious illness. After completing his mother's treatment, Suleiman took advantage of the permit and remained in Israel as an illegal resident."

His interrogation revealed that he was working with an organization called "Shahada al-Aqsa" to promote kidnapping, inferno and shooting attacks in Israeli territory.

The GSS notes that "Suleiman was also supposed to receive weapons for this purpose, but until his arrest he did not actually receive any money from the organization."

The GSS statement said that this case is in addition to "previous arrests of Gaza residents who were allowed to enter Israel in the face of humanitarian reasons and were recruited to promote terrorist attacks in Israel and emphasizes the potential threat inherent in illegal immigrants in Israel."
