As-Suwayda Health: Equipping 39 health centers for vaccination against corona

Today, the As-Suwayda Health Directorate began preparing 39 health centers and providing them with the anti-Coronavirus vaccine, in implementation of the Ministry of Health's plan to expand the centers that provide vaccination services against the virus in the governorates.

The head of the Public Health Programs Department in the Health Directorate, Dr. Nahida Nasr, told SANA reporter that today the process of distributing the vaccine began in succession to 39 basic health centers that provide vaccination services for children spread across all health areas in the governorate, and equipped them with all their supplies, including a refrigerator and a special room to start the vaccination process against the virus in them through Trained and qualified cadres, all of which will be completed next Sunday, while the centers that have been equipped today can start providing the vaccine as of tomorrow.

Nasr indicated that the mobile teams began a few days ago to visit public, union and civil institutions and agencies to give the vaccine to those who wish to work in them, provided that mobile teams are also sent to villages and gatherings where there are no health centers on a day that is predetermined in coordination between the Department of Health Zones and the activities of those villages Or the mayors, after the announcement and prior notification of the families wishing to be vaccinated, while continuing to provide the vaccine in the five approved centers previously opened in the governorate, in the construction of the tuberculosis center at the Martyr Zaid Al-Shatiari Hospital, the specialized health center known as the polyclinics, the Shahba and Salkhad hospitals, and the health center in the town of Al-Qurayya.

The Head of the Public Health Programs Department pointed out that each health center will announce days designated for vaccination against the virus, as they do not conflict with the days in which children's vaccines are provided, calling on everyone to take the initiative to vaccinate in those centers without the need to register on the special platform, as the vaccine is an effective, safe and free means of prevention. It reduces the risk of infection and thus contributes to immunizing society as a whole and ensuring the safety of all.

During its meeting last week, the government team concerned with measures to address the Corona epidemic approved the plan of the Ministry of Health in terms of expanding health centers that provide vaccination services against the virus by opening all medical centers in the governorates to provide this service and using mobile teams for this purpose as well, in addition to allocating mobile teams to visit ministries And public authorities to give the vaccine to those who wish from the workers.
