In the first week of November, the storm "Nael" brings a change in the weather.
Frost is expected in some parts of the country.
Offenbach - This Monday on All Saints' Day one can already guess: in the night of Thursday the temperatures will probably go "into the cellar".
This was announced by the
German Weather Service (DWD)
.
In line with this, the portal
wetteronline.de tweeted
: "The start of" November will be uncomfortable in many places. "
The
DWD
posted: “Now a cold front is rushing into Germany from the west.” The cause is the low pressure area that was christened “Nael” and last circulated over Great Britain.
Cold front from Great Britain reaches Germany: November will be cool
According to the DWD, the long weekend with All Saints' Day was "unusually mild" for an October.
The temperatures rose in Germany to up to 20 degrees.
These maximum temperatures did not exist in Bavaria, however: local weather warnings were in effect here.
November starts unsteadily and coolly.
“Nael” will move across Germany in the coming days.
"But it doesn't get much colder immediately, rather the maximum values go back a little every day," said a
DWD
meteorologist on Sunday in Offenbach.
DWD weather forecast for Germany: "Correct autumn weather back"
For this Monday, the DWD predicted maximum temperatures of nine to 15 degrees, on Wednesday seven to twelve degrees and on Thursday only six to ten degrees.
In addition, there is always light rain, especially in the southeast.
"So the autumn weather is right back in Germany," said the meteorologist.
The temperatures also drop accordingly at night: On Wednesday night it cools down to eight to two degrees, in the higher mountains the values fluctuate around freezing point.
The snow line drops to about 1200 meters.
On Thursday night there is light frost again in the higher mountains.
