A panel of importers of electrical products will be broadcast today (Tuesday) at 11:00 on the "Israel Today" website, as part of "Doing Shopping" in Israel Today.
The panel will be held on the occasion of the special sales days that take place this month.
That's why it's also called "From Black Friday to Cyber Monday."
Importers in the industry compete with each other for customers, and have no opportunities to come together and share their professional experiences.
After the initial broadcast, which is open to surfers, a video in the panel will remain available for viewing on the site.
In the panel, the importers talk about the challenges that the Corona has presented to them.
"At first there were big concerns about the stocks we had left, but very quickly sales skyrocketed," said one of them.
All reported a tens of percent increase in sales following the corona.
This crisis has caught the chains not really prepared for the sharp increase in online shopping, but very quickly they have adapted themselves, which will make the coming sales days more interesting and experiential.
The panel will include Avi Kornfeld, Shiomi brand manager in Israel;
Asi Arbiv, owner of the Clinton Trade Group;
Guy Ben Yehuda, VP of Marketing for LG in Israel; Moran Dai, VP of Marketing for Newpan;
Manny Dahan, Director of the Customer and Digital Experience Division at the HI Group;
Moshe Eisenberg, Beko's Marketing Director in Israel;
And Nir Handler, VP of Trade and Marketing Dyson - BNZK Trade.
Importers have admitted difficulties in obtaining inventory in recent times and rising prices due to transportation costs that have soared by hundreds of percent.
"Whoever expects a 50% discount is unrealistic," they say, but promise lower prices than can be achieved.
