Climate activists launched protests in the Scottish city of Glasgow today to demand more measures in light of dangerous climate disruptions, at the time of the World Climate Summit.
"We are waiting for more ambitious measures so that our political leaders realize the gravity of the situation because our children and grandchildren risk living in a much more complex world that will suffer Serious climatic disturbances.
"There is still a long way to go between statements and action," he added.
In turn, the protesters demanded concrete measures to help the countries of the world and expressed their hope that this conference would be different and that it would commit to work to save lives.
The voices of climate activists are getting louder, as many of them walked long distances to reach the city of Glasgow, which hosts the World Climate Summit, and the prominent Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg was at the forefront of the protesters.
Scottish police closed major roads near the climate summit hosting site while deploying around 10,000 police from across the UK daily to the summit, in what has been described as the largest law enforcement operation Scotland has ever seen.
