Anton Hoefter recently caused a stir with his plans for apartments in the foyer.

The Tölzer building committee is against it - and has several reasons.

Bad Tölz

- Recently, the chairman of the Jod AG supervisory board, Anton Hoefter, had talked a lot about possible collaboration and cooperation with the city.

However, never of seven apartment buildings with no less than 89 apartments on Sepp- und Buchener Strasse.

The preliminary ruling applications were received by the city at the same time as the press and television interviews (we reported).

In its meeting on Thursday, the Tölz building committee rejected the construction project on a gravel area next to the Hotel Eberl and the former Alpamare parking area next to the foyer.

The councils had no other choice.

Both projects are within the scope of development plans that define hotels, tourist use or facilities for health purposes.

The city council had also created a second safety net with change locks.

The resolutions were passed without discussion and unanimously.

The idea wasn't new

The third application for a preliminary decision made by Jod AG for the foyer was extremely interesting.

This is because very old ideas from the owner and client resulted in an application.

Many years ago, Anton Hoefter developed the vision of a foyer that could be used for catering, conferences, business and living.

City architect Florian Ernst mentioned in passing that the plans submitted were dated 2015.

They also included a commercial / cultural use as well as an underground car park with 26 parking spaces in the basement.

Hoefter had not obtained a monument protection permit, said Ernst.

Building authority manager Christian Fürstberger knew when asked that there had been a conversation with the State Office for Monument Preservation, where a certain benevolence had been expressed.

"Of course there were no resolutions."

Many questions remain open

However, Florian Ernst did not really want to please Anton Hoefter's “house-within-a-house” idea for the foyer.

He questioned the “cautiousness of the planner” in relation to the unique architectural monument from 1929/30.

Many questions remained unanswered about the handling of the facade and the wooden windows, load distribution, technical structures and, last but not least, the underground car park.

The Tölzer Stadtbauamt also has serious objections to the application for a preliminary ruling from a building supervision point of view.

The use of the foyer for residential and commercial purposes contradicts the stipulations of the development plan.

This application was also rejected unanimously.
