A night of partying can end in many ways.
Something like that on Saturday in the new room has probably only very few experienced so far.
Munich - This has not happened in the Munich * Club "Neuraum" (Neuhausen * -Nymphenburg *) since it opened twelve years ago.
In a moment, hundreds of people are still celebrating - and shortly afterwards it is over because the entire lower floor is under water.
This is what happened to the party guests on Saturday night.
After the clock had been changed, the clock was showing two in the morning for the second time when a party in the basement of the club was doing pull-ups on a sprinkler pipe.
"This was torn down and triggered the sprinkler system," the organizer announced when asked.
In a matter of seconds, the entire floor was under water.
“We were able to shut down the system after a short time.
At this point, however, so much water had already run into the club that the event could not be continued there and the club had to be evacuated, ”said the organizer.
Munich: Water in the “Neuraum” club: Organizer is looking for culprits
The party ended abruptly. All the celebrants from the basement streamed towards the stairs. “There were no injuries,” said the organizer. But the property damage is tough. It is around 20,000 euros. The fire brigade stopped by briefly, but did not have to intervene. "The club was dried with the help of the entire staff using a squeegee and cleaning machine," reports the organizer.
While the downstairs was being cleaned up, the party continued upstairs.
On Sunday for the Halloween party, the entire new room was then made ready for a party again.
However, the matter has not yet been settled.
"Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to find the culprit, we are currently evaluating the video recordings of the event," said the organizer.
"We ask the person concerned to contact us, it is probably a liability claim." And so that the next party does not fall into the water, it is said: Fitness exercises like on the dance floor, but never on the sprinkler pipe.
