Emergency physician has had enough of Kimmich's culinary philosophical gossip

Now the unfortunate matter of Kimmich and Corona vaccination has been decided by a highly competent party - many thanks to the combination of BILD-Zeitung and Lukas Podolski, which is beyond any doubt! Precisely that Mr P., as he says, “does not understand the whole discussion”, I doubtless believe to be correct.

Seriously: Why doesn't the pseudo-liberal and culinary philosophical gossip about personal responsibility and freedom, even human rights, finally stop? It's much simpler: the football broadcast, after which the interview that Mr. K. has surely regretted by now was broadcast on television, shows the same Mr. K., sweating and breathing heavily, hugging a team-mate of the same type. How can he claim in the same breath that he “strictly adheres to all hygiene requirements”? Distance? Mask? Contact reduction? Either he lies boldly, or, in my opinion more likely, he is too far removed in the position of the invincible hero - not in principle different from, for example, the unspeakable Mr. Bolsonaro or the even more unspeakable Mr. Trump. With their overconfidence and half-knowledge, theyirresponsible behavior endangered millions and brought hundreds of thousands on the way to death by presenting their attitude as a role model, especially for the insecure and often less informed.

If you want to count yourself to this kind of hero, then you should be clear that the audience does not consistently comply with all hygiene rules, is not always optimally informed and if not counting to millions, then at least counting to hundreds of thousands.

Plus families, friends and colleagues.

Privileges don't have to be free

Thought experiment: If the possibility of a vaccination had already existed in the unfortunate phase of the resumption of league operations (remember the European Championship and, similarly, the Olympic Games with thousands of infected people), it would certainly have been part of the conditions.

Whether the men (and women) professionals would have waived to participate out of a thirst for freedom and to save human rights?

Privileges of the kind that German and other football idols enjoy and all too often consider deserved do not have to be free.

The “price” of a vaccination that billions of people elsewhere long for does not strike me as exaggerated.

And the simple alternative, which would also be fair to fans who require vaccinations: a game ban, so what?

Even a Mr. Kimmich, as he has internalized the hygiene measures, and his kind will occasionally become infected (and then several more in their environment), then if they survive and after the post-Covid disease has subsided, they can emerge as convalescents again .

But only with a supplementary vaccination, just like the simple non-heroes out there who pay their salaries, too.

But it can also be that I see all of this wrongly and that a clarifying note from a really competent source that goes beyond Podolski is necessary.

In this respect, I am eagerly awaiting the overdue comment from Mr. Lothar Matthäus.
